Katie Parent: Founder, Planner, and Lead Designer
Katie Parent is a seasoned event planner with extensive experience in all aspects of events in the Hudson Valley. Entering the restaurant industry 15 years ago, Katie has had the pleasure of working in fine dining, venues all over New York, restaurants, and outdoor catering. In 2010, with the value of service in mind, Katie formed Service Matters, wanting to assist people in enjoying their events and not having to worry about a thing. Service Matters began serving at small events and weddings and evolved into event planning and loves to incorporate the entire process into her business. Hospitality, design, service, planning, and overall event execution. Service and Details truly do matter.
In 2010, Katie was hired to plan and facilitate her first solo wedding with her team, and it went so well that Service Matters was born. We have done many styled shoots, weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, community events, and private events since.

With experience working closely with food and also working in a coordination role in the front, it makes for the perfect person to make an event happen. We have experience in details that sometimes get overlooked, from rentals to table settings, and problem solving on the fly as we create the day you have envisioned.”
